How to reach Salta and the event venues by plane, bus or car.
Martín Miguel de Güemes International Airport (SLA) is 7 km from downtown Salta. There are direct flights from Buenos Aires (Aeroparque and Ezeiza, about 2 h) several times a day, and from Córdoba. From Chile and Brazil, most routes connect via Buenos Aires or Santiago; in season there are also direct flights from Santiago de Chile and São Paulo. From the airport to downtown: 15–20 minutes by taxi or shuttle.
From Argentina: from Buenos Aires it is about 1,500 km via RN 9 and RN 34 (17–18 h by car). Long-distance buses also leave Retiro daily and reach the Salta bus terminal in about 20 h. From Córdoba it is about 900 km via RN 9 (10–11 h by car).
From Chile: the usual crossing is the Jama International Pass (4,200 m above sea level, open year-round, though it may close due to snowstorms in winter). From Calama and San Pedro de Atacama you cross the Jama pass and descend via RN 52 through Susques and Purmamarca to Salta. From Antofagasta and Iquique you first head to Calama.
From Brazil: from Foz do Iguaçu you cross the Friendship Bridge to Puerto Iguazú (Argentina) and continue via Posadas, Corrientes and Resistencia to Salta (about 16–17 h by car). Another option is flying Foz do Iguaçu → São Paulo or Buenos Aires → Salta.
